| Saw the latest Harry Potter movie last Thursday. Let's just say I'm never seeing a HP movie again at the cinemas the day it comes out.
One word: Fangirls. Tons and tons of them. If I never hear the words, "oooh! Dan! Topless! Nipples!" again, it'll be all too soon.
On the movie itself: Choppy. Though I supposed that's what you get from squeezing a 600 paged book into a 2.5 hour movie. It's a good thing I've read the books, or I wouldn't have known what was going on at all. | comments: Leave a comment   |

~ Unfinished fic (7 'random things' down, 13 more to go!);
~ 2 4-hour shifts this weekend (it's bound to be hectic).

On another note: Only spring, and already so freaking hot. I'll going to melt when summer comes along.
Finally bought Postmortem by Patricia Cornwell. I'm finding it rather hard to get through actually, probably because my mind keeps thinking, "Just RUN a DNA fingerprint already" when the book was written 15 years ago and DNA was still kinda iffy. And OMG, the characterization. I prefer Kathy Reichs, though her recent ones aren't nearly as absorbing her first two.

| I was rather sick of trying to write my story for the yaoi_challenge at the moment (not that I've written much), so I figured I'd rummage through my fics folder. Aside from some appalling grammar and rather clichéd plots, there were a ton of unfinished ficlets; some I don't even remember starting.
So here are a few sentences from a few of them, simply because I had quite a bit of fun poking around trying to find my favourite sentences.

| I'm never reading another fic that has the word 'rape' in its summary again. Or incest. Gee, one of the very few times I venture into this line of fics (since I squick at the word 'implied rape', let alone a graphic rape scene), and I feel like scrabbing my brains out. What am I even doing dabbling in the YnM fandom?

| I've been talking like a bimbo lately. Or at least, I've just realised I'm talking like a bimbo. Whichever one sounds... less stupid.
I'm blaming it all on those two girls behind me on the train that had a conversation like this: "And then, like, he hanged up on me! And so, when I, like, saw him the next day, I was like 'hey. you hanged up on me!', and he was like, 'no, you hanged up on me', and I was like, 'no, you so totally hanged up on me!'..."
Dear gods. I almost turned and told her it was 'hung up', and not 'hanged up'.
For some reason, I started using words such as 'like' and 'totally' quite often after that (dammit, why didn't anyone tell me illiteracy is contagious?)
Humph.
On another note, I have three mid-semesters next week! And a chem report due! Which I haven't started! Like, oh my god! Like, I'm so dead! And like, I've got work tomorrow!
All right, so bimboness is quite amusing. *cackles*

| Oh my god.
There's something wrong with one of my email account. At least 2 out of the 5 emails I've sent this week have been delivered to the wrong address! And I've only been clicking the 'reply' button!
Some guy emailed me and told me I sent to the wrong address (and he sent another email and asked how I was going when I apologised and thanked him for telling me...). And the other one bounced back, claiming the domain name was wrong (gee, when did hotmail go bankrupt?).

| Uni's started (again), and I'm not rostered much for work (I haven't decided whether this is good or a bad thing). Passed all my subjects, which is good, and actually did best at the subject I thought I'd do worse in. It should be noted that subject was NOT physics (which I barely passed), a fact which left me stunned since I'd studied for it the most.

| Saw King Aruthur yesterday, and Shrek 2 some time last week.
Shrek 2 was... well, I didn't see the need to comment after I saw it, which should be self-explanatory in itself. And they're making Shrek 3. Which means I have to see it (I can't help it! You can't *not* finish seeing something once you've started and know there are sequels!). Maybe I can bribe someone to make gingerbread men again so we can have them instead of popcorn.
King Arthur = pretty swords + lots of (plotless) fighting + Keira Knightley in skimpy clothing + bad acting
No, really.

It wasn't a bad movie, per say. It's just I expected more, mostly because I really wanted to see it, and so the real thing didn't quite match up. It was okay, I suppose, just not something I'd go out the cinema feeling satified with. Mind you, another friend (who was fortunate enough not to be sat next to me, nor directly in front) quite enjoyed the movie, so I suppose it really depends on the type of movie one likes tho see.
Stepford Wives some time in August. Whee!

Hahah...
I passed my HPT today, which means I'm now driving around with my plastic (but shiny!) P2 plate. It's green. ^___^ So on the way home, I was just cackling at random drivers on the street sporting red P1 plates (suckers!) with a manic grin stuck on my face. Obvioudly, mum thought I was insane, but I digress.

| Just came back from watching Harry Potter. Whee!!
It was certainly better than the first two (no stuffed red birdie as phoenix, for one), and the actors can act now! And I was possitively drooling over the wonderful sets. Well, some of them, anyway. The dappling woods where CoMC was held? And that room where Lupin was teaching Harry the patronus? It was all soo beautiful. I loved the use of the yellow filter there, and I usually hate yellow filters. And okay, I admit I was going gaga over those floating bubbles in the room.
Draco's all grown up! I simply cannot see how he can be thirteen, though... and the way he loomed over Harry? I admit, Tom Felton isn't the Draco I imagine when I read the book (much like Dan Radcliffe isn't Harry), but he was gorgeous in the movie (and now I feel like a pedophile... he's probably my sister's age!). Anyhow, my favourite scene was definitely the CoMC class... "You and your bloody chicken" was just cute. And I never thought I'd see the day when I thought Ron'd be endearing. All movie I kept snorting to my friend, "she's flirting! she's so flirting with him!"
A few complaints, though I'll make them short because the overall movie outweighed the bad:

> Lupin, oh Lupin... two words: "too pushy".

And I've finished Neutral Shades for the Summer drabble challenge over at tatsoka. It's crap. Like really, really crap. Bad characterisation, bad writing, no plot, just very bad in general. But it's finished, so at least I can say I did *something* over the past months. And I'm almost finished with the rewritten chapter of LY! Well... if I don't decide to rewrite that last part over again, which I've already done three times...
Finals are almost finished (I'm refusing to look at my marks... they can tell me I failed)! Only chem to go, which shouldn't be too bad if I study tomorrow. But then... I've also got work tomorrow. Oh dear. | | comments: Leave a comment |

| Dammit!!!!
I'm stuck. Again. Why am I always stuck about 200 words into a drabble? I can't believe how many I've started these few months, and none of them went anywhere. First, the Tatsumi one (I liked the start of that one too...), then the Tsuzuki one, and now the one for the tatsoka challenge. There's also that old one with the faerie tales, the candy cane one for Christmas, the LY omake... I suppose it's because I haven't really got a plot in mind for most of them... but still!
Now I'm cranky, and physics is far, far from my concerns (though it should be, since I've got my finals on Friday). And I realise all my entries so far have been complaints, complaint, complaints. Of course, I would say why, but I'm afraid that'd be more complaints. So anyway, I'm just gonna post the 200 words I've written so far, sulk some more, and hopefully get something done in the mean time.

I'm not sure about the title, so that's temporary; some of the sentences doesn't flow right, so I need to change those; there's no plot, so I'll have to make something up; it isn't very summer-ish, but my toes are too frozen for me to think about warmth; and... I'm complaining again. Alright, off to physics I go... at least then I'd have an actual reason to complain.
